Terms and Conditions
The rules that govern your use of TripMiles to search and book flights.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, searching a flight, or completing a booking on TripMiles (the “Platform”, operated by Innopay Technologies Pvt Ltd), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract to create a TripMiles account. You may book child and infant travellers on behalf of minors under your care. You warrant that the identity documents (name, DOB, passport where applicable) you supply for every traveller are accurate and current.
3. Services we offer
TripMiles is a booking facilitator, not an airline. We help you search, compare, book, and manage flights operated by third-party airlines. On every booking:
- The airline is the party providing air-transportation services and is responsible for the actual flight, its schedule, its cabin service, and its safety.
- TripMiles charges a small convenience fee for booking-support services (shown separately as “Booking Assistance Charge”, SAC 998551).
- The airfare portion collected from you is passed through to the airline as a Pure Agent reimbursement (Rule 33 of the CGST Rules); GST on the fare is accounted for by the airline directly.
4. Booking process
A flight booking on TripMiles moves through these steps:
- Search & select — you choose an itinerary and fare option.
- Passenger & contact details — you enter identity and contact information for every traveller.
- Add-ons — you optionally pick seats, meals, and baggage where the airline supports them.
- Review — we re-quote the fare with the airline (via our GDS partner Travel Boutique Online, “TBO”). If the airline has changed the price or the itinerary since your search, we surface the change and ask you to accept the new terms before we take payment.
- Payment — you complete payment through the enabled payment gateway or via wallet balance where applicable.
- Ticketing — on successful payment we issue the ticket immediately (for low-cost carriers) or hold the PNR and ticket it (for full-service carriers), and send you the e-ticket by email and WhatsApp.
A booking is confirmed only when we send you a ticket with a valid PNR. Until that happens the seat is not held on the aircraft, and prices displayed during search are indicative and can change at re-quote.
5. Payment and wallet
- We accept the payment methods supported by our payment gateway partners (currently UPI, netbanking, credit card, and debit card). Card and UPI credentials are entered on the gateway’s hosted page and never touch our servers.
- You may top up your TripMiles wallet and use the balance to pay for future flights. Wallet top-ups at or above the KYC threshold require a verified email and a PAN verified against government records.
- All amounts are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- You are responsible for any bank charges, foreign-exchange fees, or convenience fees your payment method may add.
6. Pricing, service fees and GST
Fares change constantly and are controlled by the airline. The price you see at search is refreshed via TBO’s /FareQuote just before payment; if the airline has revised the fare, ancillary charges, or the itinerary, we show the change and require your explicit acceptance before continuing. TripMiles’s Booking Assistance Charge is disclosed separately on the tax invoice and taxed at the applicable GST rate (CGST + SGST or IGST depending on your Place of Supply). Bookings by SEZ units and developers are treated as zero-rated inter-state supply under Section 16 of the IGST Act, on the basis of your self-attestation during the booking flow.
7. Passenger information
Enter every traveller’s name exactly as printed on their government photo ID (passport for international travel, Aadhaar/PAN/voter/driving licence for domestic). Airlines reject boarding when the name on the ticket does not match the ID, and correcting a name after ticketing usually requires a full cancel-and-rebook at your cost. Date of birth is mandatory for children and infants and, where the airline requires it, for adults. Passport details are mandatory for international travel and for certain domestic carriers (for example Alliance Air, 9I). Guardian details are mandatory for unaccompanied infants.
8. Cancellations, refunds and changes
- Cancellations are governed by the fare rules of the airline you booked. We display the airline’s cancellation charge before you confirm the cancel.
- All cancellations on TripMiles are full cancellations of the booking. Partial cancellation of one passenger from a multi-passenger booking is not supported at this time.
- Special-fare products (SeriesFare bookings and non-refundable tariffs) cannot be cancelled online through our platform; you will need to contact support for those.
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method or wallet within the timelines mandated by RBI (typically 5–7 working days after the airline releases the amount to us). Airline delays in releasing the refund are beyond our control.
- Date changes and re-issues, where the fare permits, can be requested through support at least four hours before the scheduled departure.
For the full cancellation policy see our Cancellation Policy.
9. Web check-in and boarding
Web check-in is handled by the airline. Where TripMiles indicates that web check-in is available, we provide a link to the airline’s portal. You are responsible for completing check-in within the airline’s stated window and for arriving at the airport with adequate time for security, immigration, and boarding. TripMiles is not liable for missed flights, denied boarding, or fees imposed by the airline for late check-in.
10. Communications from us
We will send you transactional communications (OTPs, booking confirmations, e-tickets, itinerary changes, cancellation and refund updates) by email and WhatsApp using the contact details you provide. These are essential to the service and cannot be opted out of while an active booking exists. We may also send occasional service updates. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time by writing to support@tripmiles.com.
11. Acceptable use
- Do not create multiple accounts to abuse promotional offers or evade fraud checks.
- Do not use bots or scripts to scrape fares or brute-force search endpoints.
- Do not use another person’s payment instrument without authorisation.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the Platform’s security, availability, or integrity.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these rules, and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
12. Limitation of liability
TripMiles facilitates bookings between you and the airline; we are not the operating carrier and do not warrant the airline’s schedule, cabin standards, safety, or conduct. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of a single booking is limited to the Booking Assistance Charge we collected from you for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (missed connections, lost lodging, business impact) even where advised of the possibility.
13. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays, failures, or disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government orders, air-traffic-control restrictions, airline strikes, technical failures of upstream partners (TBO, payment gateways, KYC providers), or public utility outages.
14. Intellectual property
The TripMiles brand, logo, product design, and code are the intellectual property of Innopay Technologies Pvt Ltd. You may use the Platform for personal, non-commercial booking activity but may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any portion without written permission.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or an in-app banner. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the revised terms.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of your use of the Platform, subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 rights available to you at your ordinary place of residence.
17. Grievance and contact
For any complaint or grievance, please write to us using the details below. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and endeavour to resolve within 30 days.
